Getting by During Covid-19

Greetings in the name of our wonderful, loving, Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! I pray that you are all doing well during this time of worldwide crisis. I must say, I never thought that I would see a global pandemic that would affect the United States, or my family, during my lifetime. I guess, I thought that since we have such amazing medical science that the really bad stuff was mostly taken care of.

I have been thinking quite a lot about this. Here it is, the time of Easter, but we can't gather for Easter because of Covid-19. I have seen people say things like, "Easter is cancelled". That makes me laugh. Romans 8:39 says, "No power in the sky above or in the earth below--indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord" (NLT). While we may not have been able to gather in large groups or in buildings that we call churches, the Church is alive and well and celebrating our Lord. We are remembering the sacrifice, the death, of Jesus, His burial, and His miraculous resurrection! Covid-19 is a scary thing, and we weep with our Lord for those who are suffering; however, we are not without hope for we know that He is coming again!
